Behrangi Project
Samad Behrangi (1939–1968), an Iranian writer, teacher, and activist, critiqued oppression and championed social justice for children through his works. His sudden death amplified his legacy, though his stories remain little known. To revitalize his collection and to introduce it to a new generation, Sahar Bardaie and Saeed Ensafi launched The Behrangi Project, inviting artists, including myself, to update illustrations for selected works. After delivering illustrations for the story, 24 Hours, each artist was asked to create a video bio about their process.
My contribution attached was made with gratitude to Mina Esfandiari for her thoughtfulness, voice and collaboration.
